You can send new subscribers your book through BookFunnel, even without our direct Integration feature!
All BookFunnel Plans
All BookFunnel plans, including the First-Time Author plan, can create a download page and email that link to readers through their mailing list service. We can’t provide a detailed how-to here, as all mailing list providers have slightly different steps, but the basic steps are:
- Create a sign-up form on your own website. All mailing list services will let you do this.
- Drive reader traffic to the sign-up form on your website, where they can enter their email address.
- Once they have joined your list, your mailing list service should send them a “welcome” email.
- Add your BookFunnel download link to that welcome email, so that your new subscribers can download your book. Learn how to create a download page here.
Pros: Simple to set up and manage, economical, less friction for readers
Cons: Your link can be shared online with other readers that did not sign up for your list, BookFunnel can’t track who downloads your book
Mid-List Plan & Bestseller Plan
Mid-Listers and Bestsellers can use the process detailed above, or you can create a giveaway page instead. A giveaway page will require a reader to provide an email address before they can download the book. You drive reader traffic to your giveaway page on BookFunnel and we will collect their email address on your behalf and store it in a CSV on your dashboard. Learn how to create this page here. You can then import these subscribers into your mailing list provider at your convenience. Learn where to find your CSV on your dashboard.
Pros: Download data on your readers, if your link is shared online, those extra subscribers can be added to your mailing list
Cons: Additional step for readers
If you want BookFunnel to add sign-ups to your mailing list service automatically, you can learn more about our direct integration with ActiveCampaign, AWeber, ConvertKit, MailChimp, and MailerLite here.
